Rubens de Falco

Rubens de Falco; Rubens de Falco da Costa actually (born 19 October 1931 in São Paulo, † February 22, 2008 ) was a Brazilian actor and was one of the great stars of Brazilian cinema and television.

Life

Rubens de Falco began his career in the theater. In 1955, he was with the Brazilian theater actors Ruy Afonso, Italo Rossi and Felipe Wagner part of the theater group "Os Jograis ". In 1952 he made ​​his feature film debut with the film " Apassionata ". On television, he played important roles in popular series like in Brazilian O Rei dos ciganos (1967 ), O Passo dos Ventos (1968 ), A Rainha Louca (1967 ), Gabriela (1975 ), O Grito (1975). The characters he portrayed were often rogues or distinguished gentlemen. In his role in The Slave Isaura (1976 ) as morally depraved landowner son Leôncio de Falco, he became internationally known. He was with this series, the first Western actor on Chinese television.

In the hit series The Slave Isaura new edition he played the Don Almeida, the father of his former role. The Leôncio played in this edition Leopoldo Pacheco.

In May 2006, he suffered a stroke which put him out of action the entire year. In February 2008, he suffered a heart attack from which he died.

Rubens de Falco was never married and had no children.
