Rude boy

Rude boy, Rudie, Rudy or Rudy is a subculture that developed in the early 1960s in Jamaica in the ghettos of Kingston. The name Rude (actually gruff, rüpelig ) comes from the Jamaican slang word for cool or hip, as the Rude boys, despite their often low social status not only in the dance halls, but also in daily life dressed always looking for the latest fashion trends.
