Rüde

Male (Danish: Ryde ) is a former municipality in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. It was created in 1871 by the merger of the municipalities large dog and small dog. Male Süderholz and moss Watt lay in the municipal area. On March 1, 2013, the congregation went up in the newly formed community means fishing.

Geography and transport

Male lies on the peninsula fishing about 16 kilometers southeast of Flensburg and 16 kilometers west of Kappeln in a rural area in the triangle between the Federal Highway 7 from Schleswig to Flensburg, the federal highway 199 from Flensburg to Kappeln and the federal highway 201 from Kappeln towards Husum.

The former municipal area is predominantly agricultural.
