Rudolf Keller

Rudolf Keller ( born June 16, 1917November 28, 1993 in Dresden ) was a German chess master.

Life

Keller learned to play chess at age 12 by his father. In the years 1935 to 1938 he won the championships of Dresden and Saxony. In 1938 he finished third in the tournament zone of Berlin to fourth place in the Masters Tournament and Jablonec third. In 1939 he was shared sixth at the German Championships, 1949 champion of Saxony.

At the international level basement placement in the tournament of Krakow in 1942 was a success: He told Fritz Sämisch fourth place, behind world chess champion Alexander Alekhine, Efim Bogolyubov and Klaus boy.

1950 FIDE awarded him the title of International Master. From professional Keller was a graduate physicist. Also known by the game of chess is his sister Edith Keller, Edith Keller- Herrmann.
