Rugby Union in Namibia
Rugby Union is next to football, roller hockey and fistball the most popular sport in Namibia.
Rugby is played in Namibia since 1916 and was introduced by the South African migrants. As in South Africa, rugby is mainly exercised by Afrikaans -speaking Namibians, but also speaking of white English and German - Namibians. The sport is particularly popular with school children.
