Namibia national rugby union team

The Namibian rugby union team represents Namibia in the Rugby Union. The team is classified as a national of the third category by the International Rugby Board (IRB ). The nickname of the team is Welwitschia, one in the Namib Desert growing plant.

History

Rugby is played in Namibia since 1916, and was introduced by the South Africans during their mandate rule.
