Rumoi Subprefecture
Rumoi (Japanese留 萌 振兴 局, Rumoi - Shinko - kyoku ) is a sub-prefecture of Hokkaido Prefecture. It has an area of 4019.97 km ² and a population of 61 488 (as of 2005).
History
1897, the sub-prefecture was Mashike (増 毛 支 庁, Mashike - shicho ) was established with headquarters in Mashike. 1914, the county seat was moved to Rumoi and sub-prefecture in sub-prefecture Rumoi (留 萌 支 庁, Rumoi - shicho ) renamed.
On 20 October 1948, the village Toyotomi was slammed in the district Teshio the sub-prefecture Soya.
In the reorganization of Hokkaidō April 1, 2010 renamed Rumoi - Shinko - kyoku, as well as the administrative subordination to the sub-prefecture Kamikawa was. The community Horonobe was slammed in the district Teshio the sub-prefecture Soya.
