Rumpo ( estonia Swedish Romp ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Vormsi ( Vormsi vald ) in Lääne. The place is located in the south of the fourth largest Estonian island of Vormsi ( German Worms, Swedish Ormsö ).

Population and location

Rumpo has 23 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The place was first mentioned in documents in 1540 under the name Rump. In 1613 he is listed as Rumpeby. Rumpo like all the villages Vormsis was mostly populated by Estonia Sweden until the Second World War.

The village is situated on the Baltic coast, ( Laht Hullo ) on the Bay of Hullo. South of the town, a tongue of land extends in a southeasterly direction into the sea.
