Rumskulla oak

The Rumskullaeken ( after the village Rumskulla ) or Kvilleken (after the hamlet Norra Kvill ) is an oak in the vicinity of the National Park Norra Kvill in Småland in Sweden. Your age is estimated at 900 to 1,000 years.

Their size from 13 to 14.75 meters at breast height, the Kvilleken is the oldest and largest tree in Sweden and one of the, if not the thickest oak in Europe. The tribe has died halfway. This part is attached with ropes on the remaining trunk. The area directly around the tree is fenced.

The Kvilleken was first mentioned in 1772 by Magnus Gabriel Craelius in the book Försök till ett landskaps beskrivning writing.
