Rumtopf

As rum is called a conservation method for fresh fruit with rum or arrack and sugar.

To prepare according to the course of the summer and inserted after ripe fruits with about the same amount of sugar and high-proof rum in a glazed earthenware pot. The fruit must always remain covered with liquid. Stored airtight in a cool, dark place of rum in the winter is ready and can be served as a compote to semolina pudding and other desserts.
