Rupert von Miller
Rupert Miller ( born February 19, 1879 in Munich, † December 30, 1951 in Bad Wiessee ) was a German architect and sculptor.
Rupert Miller was a son of the brass founder, goldsmith and sculptor Fritz von Miller and a grandson of brass founder Ferdinand von Miller. He studied in Munich and Berlin. From it the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption originated on the water Point hill in Bad Wiessee. He also created figures for the Reichenbach bridge and a cast in bronze image of his father, which is located in the St. Benno Church in Munich.
In 1930 the Erzgießerei Miller commissioned to create a monument to Simón Bolívar. The design for the 3.50 meter tall figure, which was set up in Bogotá, created by Rupert Miller.
After Rupert Miller of Rupert von Miller Place in Bad Wiessee was named. The architect and sculptor, was buried on the mountain cemetery in Bad Wiessee.
