Rupertsberg

The Rupert mountain in the state of Rhineland- Palatinate is a rocky outcrop which rises at the mouth of the Nahe and the Rhine on the left near side and reached to the river bank through the Rhine -Nahe Railway Company before construction of the Near Valley Railway. Politically includes the Rupertsberg to the district Bingerbrück von Bingen.

The mountain has become known for the founding of the monastery of Holy Hildegard of Bingen, who has founded her first monastery there, the monastery Rupertsberg. The name itself goes back to the venerated as Saint Rupert of Bingen ( 712-732 ).
