Overview

The Russell Investment Group has offices in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, Sydney and Singapore. In addition, the group has offices in Amsterdam, Toronto, San Francisco, Melbourne, Auckland and Johannesburg.

The company is known for publishing a number of stock indices, including the internationally acclaimed Russell 2000 small caps index. The Russell Investment Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. The company advises clients in 44 countries and manages approximately 320 mutual funds, of which 85 are in Europe.

Russell works for about 2,800 institutional clients, among which are pension funds, charities, foundations, banks and other financial service providers. The firm advises international companies in the investment of their pension assets, which together corresponded to nearly 2,000 billion euros in 2006.
