Russian Triathlon Federation
The Russian Triathlon Federation (Russian Федерация триатлона России ) is the umbrella organization of all Russian triathlon and duathlon clubs and represents Russia in the ITU.
Organization
President of the RTV is Sergei Bystrov (Russian Сергей Алексеевич Быстров, born April 13, 1957 in the district of Tver ). 2000 Bystrov was deputy campaign manager for Vladimir Putin in the district of Tver. 2001 to 2004 he was Vice- Minister of Work and Social Development, since 2004 he has worked in various senior positions in the Ministry of Transport and is among other things responsible for infrastructure and logistics of the Olympic Games in Sochi.

World Championships ( Elite)
In the year before the Olympic Games in London three triathletes have at the last world championships emerged as the largest Olympic hopes: Alexander and Dmitry Polyansky Brjuchankow in the men who Altmeisterin Irina Abyssowa among women.
Olympic games
Igor Sysoyev participated in two Olympic Games, some successfully and can thus be considered as the best Russian triathlete of the last decade. His wife Irina Abyssowa crashed hard in 2008 in Beijing, but have also had good chances after their World Cup results.
Trivia
The RTV is not only one of the largest, but also an influential Triathlon Federation, as evidenced by the following incidents:
- Inna Zyhanok, a Ukrainian native, took after her move to Russia for half a year at various ITU- Wettkämpgen despite apparently missing nationality part, the ITU invented for this special case the nationality " Representing ITU ," although Zyhanok apparently did not meet the criteria for citizenship.
- Anastasia Gorbunova, which was performed at the Junior European Cup in Tabor (31 July 2011) as the DNS case ( did not start ) in the official result lists, suddenly appeared after the race either in the ITU- result lists even in the ITU Startlistebn on. Apparently, she was redeemed by the ITU from the official ITU start and result lists, to enable it as the best Russian junior still participating in the Youth Triathlon Championships in Lausanne (27 August 2011). In itself triathletes who can emphasize their message too late or appear after check -in in full gear on the launch site, but can not log in to the line-up and start inexplicably removed for 30 days on all ITU- start lists should be, Russia should therefore have veruzichten on the participation of the best junior.
- An internationally meaningless competition from the Russia Cup series in Penza was, although were in the official ETU calendar no competitions planned in Russia, suddenly the European Cup and Junior European Cup (3rd or 2nd July 2011) explains. Participating Russian triathletes were able to collect in this way without international competition ITU-/ETU-Punkte.
