Alexander Bryukhankov

Alexander Alexandrovich Brjuchankow (Russian Александр Александрович Брюханков, international transliteration: Alexander Bryukhankov, erroneously stated in ITU rankings as Brukhankov; born April 12, 1987 in Rybinsk ), is a Russian professional triathlete, Russian triathlon champion of 2011, Olympian in Beijing in 2008 and member of the national team. He is the older brother of professional triathletes Andrei Brjuchankow.

Alexander Brjuchankow is one of the best known and internationally most present Russian triathletes. Since 2005 he takes part in ITU- elite competitions. In 2010, he was number 3 in the ITU ranking Men's Standing (9 September 2010), 2011, he is ranked No. 2 in the World Cup ranking.

Alexander Brjuchankow is also in the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux as a legionnaire at the start. In 2011 he takes for St Jean de Monts, Vendee. In Nice (24 April 2011) he was ninth in the individual standings and was the best of his club ( the two other triathletes classants l' équipe were: Ivan Tutukin 26, Alfred Torok: 52, that is not French ). 2010 Brjuchankow was begun nor for Mulhouse Olympique Tri. In Dunkirk (23 May 2010) he was 21 and was the second of the three triathletes classants l' équipe ( Valentin Mesheryakov 19, Francesc Godoy: 47 ). At the Grand Final in La Baule ( Triathlon Audencia 18 September, 2010 ) Brjuchankow was 19 and was the best of his clubs. In Beauvais, Paris and Tourangeaux Brjuchankow missing. In Paris, however, was his younger brother Andrei Brjuchankow Mulhouse Olympique Tri as a substitute at the start, finishing in 45th place.
