2012 ITU World Triathlon Series

The World Championship Series 2012 is a triathlon racing series on the " short- distance" or " Olympic triathlon distance". It will be held from the International Triathlon Union ITU (International Triathlon Union).

Organization

The distances for this race are 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run. This World Cup is organized annually since 1989 by the International Triathlon Union ( ITU). In the 2012 season, 8 races are held.

The originally scheduled for May 14 and 15 for 2011 In continued racing in Yokohama were postponed for fear of excessive radiation after the nuclear accident in Fukushima in March by the ITU indefinitely. The race was held on September 18th and 19th 2011 and was so new date after the "Grand Final" in Beijing. The results will now be considered in the rating for the race series in 2012.

Steffen Justus was decided in April the race in Sydney for themselves - by Jan Frodeno (2009, 2010) of the second German winner since the introduction of the series three years ago.
