Aileen Morrison

Aileen Morrison ( born June 15, 1982 in Derry ) is an Irish professional triathlete and member of the Senior High Performance Squad, so the Olympic 2012 team.

Career

In Ireland, Morrison goes for the North West Triathlon Club at the start. She trains in Lisburn and her coach is Chris Jones. In 2010, Morrison also took part in the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonniase des Eaux. In 2012 she takes part alongside Gavin Noble for men for Ireland at the Olympic Summer Games in London.

Morrison has the Magisterium ( ProfGCE = Professional Graduate Certificate in Education ) for sport and should therefore work as a PE teacher.

ITU competitions

In the three years from 2008 to 2010 Morrison took part in 22 ITU competitions and achieved eleven top- ten finishes. In April 2011, Morrison opened the new season with two medals: gold at the European Cup in Antalya and silver at the World Cup in Ishigaki.
