Organization

The distances for this race are 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run.

This World Cup is organized annually since 1989 by the International Triathlon Union ( ITU). Since 2009, the World Cup was expanded to a race series.

There were seven races of the 2010 Olympic distance for men and women. In the overall standings, the World Champion title went to the Australian Emma Moffatt, who at the races often was up front with it, but could not win a single race yet in the 2010 season. The men's title was won by the Spaniard Francisco Javier Gómez Noya.
