Svenja Bazlen

Svenja Bazlen ( born January 3, 1984 in Stuttgart ) is a German professional triathlete.

Career

At the age of 12 years Svenja Bazlen began swimming. Since 2005 operates Bazlen Triathlon and recorded in 2006 in the Bundesliga several top ten results. 2007 Svenja Bazlen German high school champion and fourth in the Bundesliga race in Gelsenkirchen. 2009 closed Bazlen from her physical education degree and moved to Freiburg im Breisgau to train there at the Olympic Center.

Through a strong race for the season opener in 2009 in the Spanish Pontevedra, which she finished in 2nd place, they met the eligibility criteria for the European Championship in Holten and for the race of the World Championship Series in Hamburg. At the end of 2009, Svenja Bazlen was that had so far been financed exclusively through sponsorship, appointed to the B-team of the German Triathlon Union.

In France, Svenja Bazlen also takes part in the French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux and occurs there at Tri Club Chateauroux 36. Svenja Bazlen starts for VfL Waiblingen and is coached by Lubos Bilek. For 2013, it announced its intention to move from the Olympic to longer distance and launch in the future at Ironman 70.3 races.

In May 2012, she qualified in Madrid along with Anne Haug for a place at the Olympic Games in London and the two are gone there together with Anja Dittmer of Germany at the start.

Svenja Bazlen now lives with her boyfriend in Tübingen.

Bazlen has represented together with the triple Olympian Anja Dittmer Germany at the Olympic Games in London in August 2012.
