Ruth Patrick
Ruth Myrtle Patrick ( * November 26, 1907 in Topeka (Kansas), † September 23, 2013 in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania) was a botanist and Limnologin, which specialized in diatoms and freshwater ecology. Patrick has developed methods to measure the health of freshwater ecosystems, and it has established several research institutes.
Patrick graduated in 1925 the girls' school Sunset Hill, Kansas City (Missouri ). She then studied at the University of Virginia, where she received her PhD in 1934.
