Ryan Cartwright
Ryan Cartwright ( born March 14, 1981 in Erdington, Birmingham ) is a British actor.
Life and career
Cartwright was born in Erdington, a suburb of Birmingham. He received his acting training at the Central Junior Television Workshop; there he joined the conference organized by the organization work- shops for the first time as a performer. His first major role came at the age of 15 years in the ITV television series The Grimleys. He had on British TV at several standard roles and episode roles, including the television series Micro Soap ( 1998), Seriously Weird (2002 ) Hardware ( 2003-2004), Donovan (2004), Look Around You (2005) and in the sitcom All About me ( 2005).
2006 Cartwright went to the United States. From 2008 to 2011 he had a recurring supporting role in the American television series Bones - The Knochenjägerin; he played the British interns and lab assistants Vincent Nigel - Murray. Post he held until Serientod role of his character in the episode duel for song of the birds of ill omen in the sixth season. In 2008, he starred in the U.S. television movie Dear Prudence on the side of Jane Seymour, who embodied a talk show host. Cartwright played her personal assistant Nigel Forsythe III; in this role, Cartwright spoke with an American accent. In 2009 he had a recurring role as John Hooker, in the third season of the American television series Mad Men; he embodied a representative of the British upper class.
From 2011 to 2012, he played the role of Gary Bell, a role character who suffers from autism in the U.S. television series Alphas. To prepare for the role Cartwright spoke extensively with professionals who work with autistic patients; he looked documentaries, read blogs written by people with autism, and books by authors with autism, among others, Temple Grandin and Daniel Tammet. Cartwright's account of the role figure was recognized, especially by neurologists. Praising Cartwrights complexity of presentation was mentioned; avoid them especially the common stereotypes about autism in the mass media.
Cartwright lives in Los Angeles, California since 2006.
