Dear Prudence (German: 'Dear Prudence ') is a song by British rock band The Beatles. It was released on November 22, 1968 on the album The Beatles.
Formation
John Lennon wrote the song in Rishikesh (India), where the Beatles were instructed February to April 1968 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi 's Transcendental Meditation ( TM). Although the composition of Lennon comes, it was released as usual under the copyright of Lennon / McCartney.
At the meditation in Rishikesh Mike Love ( lead singer of the Beach Boys), the folk musician Donovan, the actress Mia Farrow and her sister Prudence participated. Recording
During the recording of the White Album, strains identified in the Band, which already guessed the dissolution of the group in the following year. On August 22, 1968 drummer Ringo Starr temporarily left the studio to go on holiday on the yacht of his friend Peter Sellers on the Mediterranean.
