Love is a remix album by the Beatles, released in November 2006. The music on the album was put together exclusively for an eponymous show of the Cirque du Soleil. The album was produced by George Martin and his son Giles Martin.
History
Work on the album began in 2004, after George and Giles Martin of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison (the latter two represent the deceased Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison ), permission is given, for from the original multi-track recordings of the Beatles the show " LOVE" Cirque du Soleil together a medley. On the album several songs of the Beatles are mixed together. For example, the song from Within You Without You was placed on the rhythm of Tomorrow Never Knows. In addition to the later -rehearsed orchestra in While My Guitar Gently Weeps the whole album was recorded by the Beatles, or derived from their original recordings.
Achievements
The album sold very well internationally, it reached in Germany in December 2006, the second in the singles chart in the UK number three, number four in the United States. In 2007, the album was recorded in Germany with a platinum record.
Publications
The album was released as a normal audio CD and as an audio DVD with on the audio DVD surround mix is heard. The audio DVD contains the music in a format that can be played on DVD players that are DVD compatible. The audio DVD is longer than the audio CD. Love was also released as a double LP in 2007. Since 8 February 2011, the album on the iTunes Store with the exclusive bonus tracks The Fool on the Hill and Girl is available.
