Glass Onion (German: , Glass onion ') is a song by The Beatles from the year 1968, it appeared on the White Album. . Text and composition derived solely by John Lennon, even if the piece of property rights restrictions, as usual Lennon / McCartney was attributed.

Formation

Lennon wrote the song in response to the many attempts to interpret the sometimes ambiguous texts of the Beatles, with misinterpretations were not rare. John Lennon had previously tried to confuse the audience with cryptic texts as possible, what he achieved, especially with the song I Am the Walrus. In Glass Onion some characters and metaphors are mentioned from other Beatles pieces, such as I Am the Walrus, Fixing a Hole, The Fool on the Hill and Lady Madonna.
