Ryōko Hirosue

Ryoko Hirosue (Japanese広 末 凉子, Hirosue Ryoko, born July 18, 1980 in Kochi, Kochi Prefecture, Japan ) is a Japanese actress and musician. In the Western world it was her role in the film Wasabi - A bull in Japan by Luc Besson known.

At the age of 14 years Ryoko Hirosue took part in the competition model P & G. In the same year she began her musical career in the TK Music Camp program. Her debut as an actress was Hirosue, 1995 in TV drama Heart ni S at Fuji TV.

Biography

Since the age of 14 Ryoko is a part of the Japanese television landscape. She stepped back then on for cosmetic companies as a nameless model. Later came roles in series such as DoCoMo and TV movies such as Long Vacation. For the eighth episode of DoCoMo she sang the theme song, which was so well received that it was mid- April 1997 released as a single. The single peaked at rank 2 on the Oricon charts and stayed for five consecutive weeks in the Top 10; this was the beginning of Ryoko's musical career. Their success was no accident, because she had practiced diligently in the many karaoke bars since her childhood. Daisuki was even more successful and went straight to No. 1 on the Oricon charts.

In the period until their third single prism of Wind, which was released in October, she took on several roles in doramas and movie 20th century nostalgia. In November, also released their first album. At the same time she made it next to the two careers or to pursue a third: they continued to attend school, they also ended to study.

In 1998 two more singles and a mini album appeared. In addition, it was in November a qualifying exam for the elite Waseda University in Tokyo. After the beginning of 1999 their sixth single was released and she had given her first live concert, they officially began to study at the University in March. There were other films and television appearances until she announced in December 2003, to take a break: She was four months pregnant and married in January 2004, the fashion designer Takahiro Okazawa. She was seen more often during this time out on television and in March 2004 again in a movie. Since the birth of her son on 10 April 2004, she took over much rarer roles than in previous years, including as an actress in the drama Summer Snow.

In March 2008, they divorced Takahiro Okazawa.

Back in the cinema she was seen in the drama Nokan - The art of decay tail, which was awarded the prize for the best foreign language film at the Oscars 2009.
