Ryuko Kawaji

Kawaji Ryuko (Japanese川 路 柳 虹; born July 9, 1888 in Tokyo, † April 17, 1959 ) was a Japanese poet.

Kawaji led the group of poets Shoko shisha and gave inter alia The Journal Akebono out. He wrote poems in free verse and modern language, with whom he had influence on the development of contemporary Japanese poetry. Among other things, he has published books of poetry Robo no hana (1910 ), Ayumu hito (1920 ) and Nami (1957).
