RzÄ…siny

Rząsiny [ ʒɔɕinɨ ] ( German Welker village) is a village located in powiat Lwówecki the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. The town is located some 30 km south-east of Görlitz, 11 km southwest of the district town Lwówek ( mountain lions ) and belongs to the urban and rural community Gryfów Slaski ( Greiffenberg ) to.

History

The primary school of Rząsiny carries since 2005 the name of the Sorbian Catholic priest and martyr Alois Andritzki. The ceremonial naming there was a meeting of the inhabitants with former Welker villages to the ruins of soapstone and a common German - Polish church in the village.

Attractions

  • In Rząsiny is the Catholic village church of Our Lady of Ostra Brama, which was built in the 18th century as a Protestant Bethauskirche with roof skylights. Inside are three late Gothic winged altars and a baptismal font and a Renaissance pulpit from the 16th century which were spent here from the Gothic cemetery chapel burned in 1972.
  • The local Castle is a Renaissance building with baroque elements
  • The ruins Soapstone ( Zamek Podskale ) near the village was built in the 13th century and destroyed in 1479.
