Sa'gya County

Sa'gya ( Tib. sa skya rdzong, Tibetan Sakya ས་སྐྱ་རྫོང Dzong ) is a county in the Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It is part of the district of Shigatse.

The Sakya Monastery is the main monastery of the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism ( Vajrayana ), whose patriarch Tibet from the mid-13th century to mid 14th century had in their violence. Its unique library is considered as " the second Dunhuang ".
