Sabian

Sabian is a Canadian manufacturer of drum cymbals. The company was founded in 1981 in Meductic (New Brunswick, Canada ) by Robert "Bob" Zildjian. The name SABIAN is an acronym composed of the initials of the three children of the founder ( Sally, Billy and Andy ). Here is the curled Sabian logo indicate the groove structure of a basin.

History

After Avedis, founder of the American company Zildjian, had died in 1979, his sons Robert and Armand took over the company. However, two years later, Robert separated from his brother to start his own company with Sabian.

By 1983, Sabian was relatively unknown until the company was able to establish with the Series AA and HH in the market, even though these products were originally developed for symphonic and orchestral music.
