Sacrifice is the 20th studio album by the British heavy metal band Saxon. It was released in March 2013 in UDR / EMI.

History

The album was recorded with Andy Sneap in the LS Studios in Yorkshire, England. In early 2012 it was announced by drummer Nigel Glockler the first time that the band would begin with the songwriting. Together with guitarist Doug Scarratt they started about a month later, in Glock Jewellers studio to write songs. In July and August 2012, the band was in the studio. In October 2012 the album title and tour were released, track list and artwork in November 2012.

Reception

The website Allmusic.com awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars. Gregory Heaney wrote, Sacrifice is "an album that will be marked not only satisfy longtime metal fans, but might also draw younger listeners away from the revivers and back to The Survivors. "
