Sadus

Sadus is a thrash metal band from Antioch, California. The band at the beginning of the 1990s due to the technically demanding style of play became known. The name of the band goes back to the novel Dune.

History

The band was formed in 1984. According to the publication of three demos and the 1988 self-released album Illusions, Sadus received a recording contract with Roadrunner Records. There, also the second album appeared Swallowed In Black. The debut album Illusions 1991 reissued with a different cover under the title Chemical Exposure. As Roadrunner Records took more commercial bands under contract, the band lost its contract in 1993. The members focused in part on other bands and Sadus was put on hold. Only with a new record deal in 1997 worked on the band. Currently, the band at Mascot is under contract.

With the Sadus bassist Steve DiGiorgio began his musical career. He is now considered one of the best metal bassists in the world.
