Sagging (fashion)

Baggy Pants (English baggy " baggy ", " baggy " pants and " pants" ) or often Saggy Pants (german saggy " absinkend ", " drooping " ) are particularly baggy pants whose waistband is usually carried far below the hip. Accordingly, we call this type to wear pants, as sagging.

Origin

Ban

In Delcambre, Louisiana, as well as in Riviera Beach, Florida, the public wearing of baggy pants is prohibited under penalty. Against the ban in Riviera Beach has been appealed and is intended to violate the Constitution of the United States, in particular against the 14th Amendment, which put the self-determination and personal freedom of citizens under special protection.

Others

The 504th U.S. Parachute Regiment took part in the January 22, 1944 in the attack on Anzio part. In this operation, they earned the nickname " Devils in Baggy Pants", which goes back to the entry of a German officer in his report.
