Sahar Khalifeh

Sahar Khalifeh (Arabic سحر خليفة ), ( born September 1, 1942 in Nablus ) is a Palestinian writer.

Life

My university studies took Khalifeh in English Studies in the University of Bir Zait. She then studied through the Fulbright program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her doctorate in women's studies she graduated from the University of Iowa, before returning in 1988 to Palestine. In Palestine had now broken out in the first Intifada, and she founded in Nablus, the "Women's Affairs Center" ( WAC) Sahar Khalifeh now lives in Jordan and in the Palestinian territories and commutes between the cities of Nablus and Amman; she is the mother of two daughters.
