Saihou Gassama

Saihou Gassama (* December 11, 1993 in Banjul ) is a Gambian football player at the position of midfielder. Currently, he plays in the reserve team of Real Zaragoza.

Career

Association

Gassama played in Gambia Gambia Ports Authority FC before joining the youth team in 2010 in the Spanish first division club Real Zaragoza and the 2010/11 season in the reserve team (Real Zaragoza B) climb. In order to gain match practice, he was initially loaned to the fourth division RSD Santa Isabel and scored four goals during the season for the team, but making the descent into the Rechional preferent aragonesa could not be prevented. After that, the players returned to the reserve team from Zaragoza Segunda División B in the, where he has still received no use.

National

Gassama participated with the Gambia U-20 at the U-20 African Cup of Nations 2011. In the course of the tournament, he retired with his team but after the group stage.

2012 debuted Gassama in the Gambian national football team, he scored his first international goal in a 1:4 defeat by Algeria in the qualifying for the African Cup of Nations 2013.
