Saint-Ferréol-Trente-Pas
Saint- Ferréol - Trente -Pas is a commune with 219 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes. It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes du val d' Eygues.
Geography
Saint- Ferréol - Trente -Pas located 19 kilometers northeast of Valréas and 9.6 kilometers northeast of Nyons on the edge of the Forêt de Marsanne (forest of Marsanne ). The eponymous brook Trente -Pas runs in the scenic canyons in the municipality.
History
The part of Saint Ferréol the place name comes from the Holy Ferréol de Besançon ( † 212).
1793 Saint- Ferréol - Trente -Pas was still called Saint Ferriol. In 1801 the church received as Saint- Ferréol in the wake of the French Revolution ( 1789-1799 ) the right to local self-government. Since 1920 Today's local name is official.
Population Development
Most residents had Saint- Ferréol - Trente -Pas 1851 (493), then the population declined until 1968 with 123 inhabitants reached its low point. Since then, the population increase again.
Economy
The main activities of the Saint- Ferréolais are the cultivation of olives, wine growing and breeding of domestic sheep and goats.
