The Rivière Saint -François is a right tributary of the St. Lawrence River in the south of the Canadian province of Quebec.

The river rises in Lac Saint -François in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, approximately 15 km south of the town of Thetford Mines. Hydro- Sherbrooke operates two smaller hydropower plants on the Rivière Saint -François - at Weedon ( ⊙ 45.661642-71.463726 ) and Westbury ( ⊙ 45.49797-71.620132 ).

Boralex operates a hydroelectric power plant ( ⊙ 45.482645-71.662285 ) at East Angus. The power plant from 1898 was renewed in 1992. It has an installed capacity of 2 MW at a drop height of 5.3 m.

Another hydropower plant ( ⊙ 45.557957-72.007561 ) was taken on 21 January 1996 at Windsor in operation. It has five Kaplan turbines with a total capacity of 5.5 MW and uses a drop height of 5.6 m.

The Barrage de la Chute - Hemmings ( ⊙ 45.863245-72.450276 ) was completed in 1924. It has a height of 18 m, a length of 701 m and a storage capacity of 20 million m³.

The Barrage de Drummondville ( ⊙ 45.886894-72.483804 ) was built in 1914, has a height of 22 m, a length of 919 m and a storage capacity of 1 million cubic meters.
