Saint-Germain-la-Montagne
Saint- Germain- la -Montagne is a commune with 234 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Loire department in the Rhône -Alpes.
Geography
Saint- Germain- la -Montagne, 30 kilometers north-east of Roanne. The municipality is crossed by Botoret and from Mussy.
The municipality is bordered to the north and to the east by Chauffailles ( Saône -et- Loire), in the north and west of Saint- Clément- de-Vers, on the west by Propières, on the southwest by Azolette (all Rhône), to the south by Belle Roche and to the southeast by Belmont -de- la- Loire ( Loire both ).
Etymology
1793 was the first municipality only Germain- la -Montagne. Since 1801 it bears its present name.
