Saint-Goazec

Saint- Goazec ( Breton Sant - Wazeg ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in the west with 706 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Location

The place is located about 35 kilometers east of the Atlantic coast on the banks of the River Alder and on the northern edge of the ridge Montagnes Noires.

Quimper is located 30 km south-west, the major city and port of Brest 57 km north-west of Paris and about 470 km to the east (in straight line ).

Infrastructure

In Châteaulin, Briec and ROSPORDEN there are runs on E - 60 Section Brest -Nantes and, inter alia, is at Morlaix another on the E 50 towards Rennes.

In Châteaulin, Quimper and ROSPORDEN regional train services stop at the railway line Brest -Nantes and the train station of Brest is the terminus of the TGV Atlantique to Paris.

Near the city of Brest in Guipavas is the regional airport Aéroport de Brest Bretagne.

Attractions

The main attractions of the small town are the Allée couverte ( Avenue with covered gear) of the types " arcboutée " or " à dalles inclinées " of Castel- Ruffel and Trévarez castle from the late 19th century.
