Saint-Jean-de-Braye

Saint -Jean -de- Braye is a commune with 19,257 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Loiret in the Centre region. The municipality is part of the Arrondissement of Orléans and is the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Saint -Jean -de- Braye.

Geography

Saint -Jean -de- Braye is located east of Orléans on the banks of the Loire. The municipality is part of the Val de Loire, since 2000 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint -Jean -de- Braye Saint- Denis -en -Val is surrounded by the municipalities Semoy in the north, Marigny- les -Usages and Boigny -sur- Bionne in the northeast, Chécy and Combleux in the east, the south, Saint -Jean- le- Blanc in the southwest and Orléans in the West.
