Saint Lucia Davis Cup team

The St. Lucian Davis Cup team is the national tennis St. Lucia, which represents the island country in the Davis Cup.

History

St. Lucia, in 1998 for the first time independently on the Davis Cup in part, after it had already started up in 1997 as part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States. The first encounter ( against the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States) at the America Zone Group IV could be won. 2002 and 2004 promotion to Group III, which, however, both times immediately followed by a subsequent descent. The most recent meeting of St. Lucia was a 1-2 defeat against Barbados in 2006.

The most successful player of the island state was previously Vernon Lewis with 28 wins and 19 defeats in 33 matches during 7 years. Most games, however, Kane Easter with 48 matches ( 22 wins, 26 defeats) during 35 encounters in also 7 years.
