Saint Tail

Kaito St. Tail (Japanese怪盗 セイント·テール, Kaito Saint Tail ) is a manga series of the Japanese illustrator Megumi Tachikawa, which is aimed primarily at girls and is thus assigned to the shōjo genus. The manga has about 1200 pages and was implemented as an anime television series.

Action

The fourteen- year-old Meimi Haneoka is a student at St. Paulia Academy. Her father is a magician and her mother was called a thief, Kaito Lucifer. Meimi leads a double life as a thief Saint Tail to retrieve things that has stolen a fiend. To get to their prey, they used magic tricks. She is always persecuted by the police.

Meimi sends before they commit a theft, always her classmate Daiki Asuka Jr. A warning does not know that she is the infamous Saint Tail. Asuka Jr. is the son of a policeman and firmly decided to bring the thief behind bars. As Asuka Jr. is kidnapped, wants him Saint Tail free.

Meimis best friend Seira Mimori, a nun in training. The photographer for the school newspaper, MANATO Sawatari is in love with Meimi.

Main Characters

She is a friendly and cheerful girl going into the 8th grade a convent school and at night transforms into the thief St. Tail to make wrong things right. Her mother was also a ghost thief until she met Meimis father and ending with the stealing. However, Meimis father is magician and has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. The little girl emulates both parents after and fights for their love and goodness in their city. At first she fights only with Asuka Jr., but gradually they developed feelings for him.

Your pet is a little hedgehog, she has nicked on one of their forays from his evil owner. Ruby and St. Tail bear in matching outfits always a big bow on her head.

The boy goes into Meimis class goes in and she falls in love. Asuka Jr. is the son of a policeman and is personally appointed by the mayor to capture Kaito St. Tail. The student enters middle of the school year in Meimis class because she has fallen in love with Asuka Jr.. She is the niece of the mayor and persuaded him to do so, they also in the case of " St. Tail " involve. Publications

Kaito St. Tail appeared in Japan from October 1994 to December 1996 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Nakayoshi. The Kodansha publishing house brought this single chapter from June 1995 out in seven anthologies.

The manga has been translated into Korean, among others, English and Italian. In German appeared Kaito St. Tail first in MangaPower magazine and then at Egmont Manga & Anime in six anthologies. A publication of the seventh volume is not planned for bad sales.

Anime

1995 Tokyo Movie Shinsha produced an anime series for Manga. It was directed by Osamu Nabeshima. From 12 October 1995 to 12 September 1996, the series had 43 episodes in the Japanese broadcaster TV Asahi. The anime was also broadcast in the Philippines, Mexico and Italy. An English version was published by Tokyopop.

The music composed by Hayato Matsuo Series. The biasing titles are Toki wo Koete (時を越えて) by Yasuko Matsuyuki and Ashita he to Kakedashite Yukou (明日 へ と 駆け出し て ゆこ う) by Seiko Matsuda. Reception

Malindy Hetfeld Splash Comics denotes the manga drawn as sloppy, the characters seemed superficial and the story was predictable, although quite romantic. Compared to similar Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne Kaito St. Tail could not exist. In the further course of action will still predictable in parts of the negotiated figures highly unrealistic.
