Sainte-Savine

Sainte -Savine is a commune with 10,178 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Aube department in the Champagne- Ardenne region. It belongs to the district of Troyes. The city is located in the canton of Sainte -Savine and is its chief town. Sainte -Savine has now grown together with the city of Troyes in the east.

Name

The name of the town goes back to the martyr Savine. Her brother Savinien also martyrs canonized.
