Saints Row IV

Saints Row IV is an action game, and the fourth part of the computer game series of the same name. It was developed by U.S. company Volition, Inc. and the German publisher Deep Silver on August 23, 2013 for Windows, released PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Action

The game takes the action of its predecessor Saints Row: The Third continues. The player character, the head of the 3rd Street Saints, was elected interim president of the United States. As a new head of state, he must defend against an alien invasion of the nation during the game.

Gameplay

Saints Row IV leads the gameplay of predecessors without major changes. It is, much like the Grand Theft Auto series, an open game world in which the player can take many jobs that need to be solved mostly combative. The event is presented here from a persecutor perspective.

Development

Some concepts and contents of Saints Row IV were originally designed as stand-alone expansion Enter the Dominatrix for the predecessor Saints Row: The Third conceived. On the initiative of Jason Rubin, president of volitions former parent company THQ, the project was expanded in mid-2012 to a full-fledged successor. As THQ was forced to declare bankruptcy due to its financial problems and was smashed, the German media company Koch Media acquired the development studio at the auction of the assets together with the Saints- Row license.
