Salies-de-Béarn

Salies -de- Béarn ( Occitan Saria de Bearn ) is a commune with 4940 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Atlantiques in the Aquitaine region. The place is located in the historic landscape Béarn between the rivers Gave de Pau in the north and the Oloron in the south and is itself crossed by the river Saleys. Salies -de- Béarn is known for its thermal baths, the reduction of salt deposits and viticulture.
