Salto del Penitente

The Salto del Penitente is a waterfall in Uruguay.

This tourist attraction is located in the area of the department of Lavalleja near the city of Minas middle of the Parque del Salto Penitente. Access to this area is located at km 125 of the Ruta 8 From there, an approximately 18 km long road leads to the 60 meter high waterfall. Near the waterfall, a building was built in 2004 in the rock, which serves as a rest house and viewpoint.
