The Salzwedel Stupid is a left or western tributary of the Jeetze (also: Jeetzel ) in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).
Name
The river name, "Stupid ", means something like " Oak Brook", as stupid can be traced back to the old -Slavic word " dabu " for oak.
Course
The Salzwedel Stupid passes only a few kilometers south of the border of the neighboring Federal State of Lower Saxony in the Altmark. It rises near New Pitcher Höddelsen and passes in its course as the community Dähre and ends in Salzwedel in the coming from the south Jeetze.
