Action

Sam was a bald-headed, human-like doll with big eyes, ears and nose. His friends were Yorick, a kind purpurener skull with constant appetite, Harry the Hipster ( or beatnik ) and Kermit, an early preform by Kermit the Frog. Later were added many other characters. Initially, the dolls sang mostly songs and danced to it. Later skits were written and performed in the show. One of these early sketches was the so-called " Inchworm " ( Engl. bead); while nibbling a doll - mostly Kermit - on a supposed worm (or a caterpillar ), but suddenly turned out to be nose or tongue of a large monster, and the figure of this monster was swallowed. This sketch was in Hanson's later productions picked up every now and then.
