Sammy Tirop

Sammy Tirop ( born January 13, 1959) is a former Kenyan middle distance runner, who specializes in the 800 -meter distance.

In 1986 he was third in the Goodwill Games and 1989 East and Central Africa champion.

In 1990 he won at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland.
