Samuel D. Warren

Samuel Dennis Warren ( * 1852, † February 20, 1910 in Dedham, Massachusetts) was an American jurist and lawyer.

Warren studied law at Harvard Law School and graduated in 1877 as the second best of the vintage from. Together with his friend Louis Brandeis, the year's best in 1877, he founded the Boston law firm Nutter McClennen 1879 & Fish.

In 1890 they released their joint article The Right to Privacy in the Harvard Law Review, which established the concept of privacy in the United States and continues to shape.

He was married to Mabel Bayard, daughter of Thomas F. Bayard, and had six children.
