Samuel Perez

Samuel Pérez ( born November 29, 1952 in Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican pianist.

Life

Samuel Pérez began his musical studies at Marilú Rappaport, Alicia Villarreal and Rosita Casanova, later the pianist Jesús María SANROMÀ. The encouraged him to continue his studies with the Hungarian pianist Gyorgy Sandor at the University of Michigan where he received his doctorate. Three years he was rector of the Conservatory of Puerto Rico.

He was so far above all concerts in the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. In addition to his international repertoire Pérez dedicated to the piano music of his country.

Pérez is a professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (UPR ).
